Hey, gang- This week I got a special delivery from RRPARKS Cards– some “MANOS: The Hands Of Fate” Series Two trading cards.
What’s even more special about them is the set contains 2 base cards that feature some of my art.
I also got two black printing plates to go with them. (4-color printing= C/cyan. M/magenta, Y/yellow, K/black)
The back of my two cards (#33 and 34) also feature some of my original art.
They and the two base cards are some of my sketchcard art from the first MANOS series.
I recently did some MANOS sketchcards for the RRPARKS the second series. Went a bit more cartoony with them.
I’ll have some of my MANOS returns and other sketchcards and art available at this year’s Monster Market online in October.
The Monster Market is an on-line store which features original art, prints, and other monstrous merch. There will be an in-person open house on October 1st at Marshall Arts (639 Marshall Ave), just down the street from Sun Studios in downtown Memphis, TN.
Also, I got a stack of Nosferatu promo cards which feature my art as well.
I handed out a few recently at the latest MSCA dinner meeting at Garibaldi’s Pizza, and will have a few more and some of the MANOS base cards for anyone interested at the Tuesday, October 4th meet up.
Hope to see you at Garibaldi’s Pizza (3530 Walker Ave.) around 6:30pm.
And speaking of the Mid-South Cartoonists Association, if you’re in my neck of the woods, be sure to slide by the First Regional Library in Hernando, MS and check out the MSCA 35th Anniversary display there in their lobby.
MSCA president Kevin L. Williams and I set up some items that represent the club’s 35 years of drawing funny in the mid-south area, along with some original process art and tools of the trade.
It’s open to the public during business hours (see below) through the end of September. Kev and I will be doing a Ghostbusters display there in October. I hope you get a chance to come out and see it all!
