Hey, gang- I recorded a new podcast last night, and it wasn’t my own!
I went live on “Doomsday’s Krypt” to be a part of the “Road To Memphis Monster Con” series of episodes.
I talked for about an hour with host John Henderson and co-host (and my 901 Comics East boss) Jamie Wright. We talked about my art, being a monster kid, and the upcoming Memphis Monster Con. Has been a while since I’ve been on the other end of an interview. You can watch/listen to the video podcast episode HERE.
The Memphis Monster Con will be held in the Pipkin Building of the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium (AKA the Memphis Fairgrounds or “The SCAREgrounds!”) this November 9th & 10th.
There will be celeb guests, artists, vendors, panels, photo ops, food trucks, costume constest, and more.
One of the special events will be a reunion many of the cast from “The Return Of The Living Dead“.
I’ll have my new “Scared Silly” zine, prints, sketchcards, sketchcovers, trading cards, and original art at the Memphis Monster Con.
You can also currently pick some up at my day job- 901 Comics East out in Cordova on Macon Road.
Prints are $10ea and come with an MSCA sticker, and zines are $5ea and come with a Frankie sticker.
I’ll also have my art for sale at the Monser Market pop-up shop at Medicine Factory (October 11-16, 2024), and the Crosstown Concourse’s annual Record Swap/Zine Fest (Sat, Oct 26, 2004 from 10:00AM-4:00PM) where attendees can shop for records, make a zine at one of the zine making stations, or purchace zines and art made by local aritsts. My cartoonist buddy Dale Martin will have his art and zines for sale at both events, too.
Oh, the Monster Market goes LIVE online this Friday the 13th..!
