I you know me, you know I’m a big an of Cookie Monster!
In fact, Cookie and I share a birthday.
I’ve done a couple Cookie Monster sketchcards, and I thought I’d share some more Muppet Monsters with you that I recently drew.
Boppity (Blue Frackle) and Herry Monster…
…and Big Mean Carl and Beautiul Day Monster (who started off on the Ed Sullivan Show and appeared on Sesame Street and The Muppets).
I started off with a yellow #2 pencil with a reference photo on my iPhone, and then started working color with my Copic markers.
I used various colors of Copics starting with blues, and working back and forth with yellows, oranges, reds, dark grey, and more blues.
For the line art I used a black 03 Pigma Micron pen.
I used a white Gelly Roll pen or the highlights.
I finished up the highlights and shading with a white Prismacolor pencil.
I then signed it with the Pigma Micron pen, sprayed it with some workable fixative, and scanned it into my computer.
I’ll be doing more Muppets sketchcards- “stay tooned”!

Gotta get back to the drawing board- Halloween is getting closer and these sketchcards won’t draw themselves..!
