Last Tuesday night I had the reception for my art show “Frankie Goes To Hollywood: Abnormal Monsterpieces“.
I had 9 monster portraits, and a few cartoony paintings on display in the lobby of Theatre Memphis.
The reception was costume optional. Wish I would have had time to put one together.
Apparently Kevin and Danny didn’t get to dress up for it either.
Most folks, like the Easterling family just dressed normal. Well, as normal as you’d expect from my friends.
We had a lot of good eats and good fun hanging out with some of our beast fiends.
Had some of my other art like sketchcards and the original line art I did for the “Young Frankenstein” promo art on display that night as well.
Thanks for my wife Nicki and her mom and sister Regina for all the help setting up, and thanks to everyone who stopped by.
If you missed the reception, you can still check out the art show in person. It will be on display through November 3rd and runs in conjunction with Theatre Memphis’ run of “Young Frankenstein”- which I highly recommend!
Had one of my paintings in a recent Memphis Flyer– along with a “Young Frankenstein” ad. That was cool!
